A general post

This is the first time I am posting something general. Things going on... Its kind of a not-so-competing time for me- a student. First days of a new class, you know. The time I began this blog, some four months ago I was in the last part of Class IX craving for a good final exam... couldn't post much. But now exams are over. Results declared and me promoted to class X. My aims fulfilled to some extent but not much worthy to jot down.

This is the final year for board exams and still I have not started studying much. Time to get serious and work harder to achieve my aims. Have to score better... much better.

For my blog I have decided that I shall attach it to my studies. Whatever I study in Maths and science, I shall post here for your reading. Though this is a tough and obviously precious year, I shall try to be as regular as possible in blogging.

Non-metals are the elements in groups 14-16 of the periodic table. Non-metals are not able to conduct electricity or heat very well . Non-metallic elements are very brittle , and not malleable (i.e.cannot be rolled into wires or pounded into sheets). Structure of atoms #2 : Electronic Configuration

The arrangement of electrons in the various shells/orbits/energy levels of an atom of the element is known as electronic configuration. Bohr-Bury scheme Electrons revolve around the nucleus in different energy levels or shells and each shell is associated with definite energy. The energy of the K shell is the least while those of L, M, N and O shells increases progressively.
